‘I am with my servant when he calls Me’
April 7, 2015
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ said, “Allah the Most High said, “I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am and I am with him when he calls Me (i.e does Du’a).”
Mawlana Anwar Shah Kashmiri رحمه الله commenting on this Hadeeth says,
“Every human likes that he has a companion in whom he can confide in and with whom he can feel at peace. Because humans dread solitude and being alone and they crave a companion to derive comfort from. From the unique qualities of the remembrance of Allah, one is that whoever remembers Him, he will find Allah by his side and with him and he will gain solace and bliss from His proximity.
